Our fences are woven on-site, in situ, allowing us to follow the natural contours of the landscape with precision. This approach means every fence is entirely unique, blending seamlessly into its surroundings for a beautifully natural finish.

  • How are your fences built?
    Every fence is completely bespoke and woven entirely on-site. Rather than using pre-made panels, we construct the fence in one continuous, seamless length so it perfectly traces the natural contours and flow of your garden.

    What materials do you use?
    We keep our design pure and simple, relying on just two essential materials: solid steel and natural willow. This combination perfectly marries industrial, long-lasting strength with beautiful, organic craftsmanship.

    How is the fence supported?
    To guarantee exceptional structural integrity and eliminate the ground-rot associated with timber posts, solid steel supports are driven deep into the earth at approximately 85cm intervals. Small bands of premium willow are then meticulously hand-woven around this sturdy steel framework.

  • How long will my woven willow fence last?
    With the right care, your handmade willow fence can remain beautiful and functional for around 20 years.

    Does the willow require any maintenance?
    Yes. Willow is a natural material. To protect it from UV drying and moisture, we recommend treating the fence with a 50/50 mixture of Linseed Oil and a turpentine substitute, applied with a pump sprayer in dry, still weather. Additionally, the decorative woven border at the top of the fence takes the brunt of the weather and typically needs replacing every 5–7 years to protect the main structure below.

    Do you offer a maintenance service?
    We do! If you'd prefer to leave the upkeep to us, we offer a comprehensive maintenance service for our fences and local products. Whether you need routine Linseed Oil treatments, a replacement top border, or repairs to an older fence, just get in touch.

  • Are there standard sizes for your fences?
    No, because we don't use pre-made panels. Since every fence is crafted bespoke on-site, they can be constructed to almost any length and height you require. You aren’t restricted by traditional dimensions, giving you complete freedom to let your imagination flow and design exactly what your garden needs.

  • Can I add gates or archways to my fence?
    Yes, absolutely. To complete your garden’s transformation, we can supply beautifully crafted, custom-built gates and striking archways that perfectly match your new boundary.

    Will the gates and archways match the rest of the fence?
    Yes, perfectly. Because we work by hand on-site, we don't just attach pre-made gates—we weave these architectural features seamlessly into the main fence line. This creates a flawless transition that feels like a natural extension of the fence, rather than a bulky afterthought.

    Can these features be customised?
    Everything we do is bespoke. Since your gates and archways are woven to order alongside your fence, we can tailor their size, shape, and style to perfectly suit your landscape and maintain the uninterrupted, organic flow of the willow.
