The Stitchers’ garden is relocated to a Suffolk prison

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Silver award-winning Stitchers’ garden has now been successfully relocated to the grounds of a Suffolk prison. It was originally commissioned by the charity Fine Cell Work, designed by Frederic Whyte, and built by our sister company Champain Landscapes.

Fine Cell Work are a UK based rehabilitation charity who have been working for over 25 years to help transform the lives of prisoners and ex-prisoners through paid creative enterprise. Brampton Willows were responsible for creating the willow structures for the garden, the smaller of which was designed and built to represent the true dimensions of a traditional prison Cell. Inmates at the prison put a lot of hard work into preparing the site in readiness for the garden, they also created the pathways and put the plants into the ground.
